Remove unwanted time slider in web map?

I have a web map with a lot of layers. A time slider appeared recently. I don't remember which layer it is associated. I thought it was NLCD, but I've turned off time for that layer. Is there any way to determine which layer this is associated with? I really don't want it.

Thank you,

Hey @RandyMcGregor_BMcD

This post here shows how to remove it, very bottom of the post:

In terms of which layer has time enabled, there's a way to do it with the layer attributes using the ArcGIS API for Python, I can see if I can prototype a script to send over if you'd like!

I am (somewhat) faviliar with ArcGIS API for python. I think I can scare something up. Thank you for your input. If your (ahem) looking for something to do (cough!) a snippet would be nice, but only if it's like you're hobby or something 🙂

Hi @RandyMcGregor_BMcD

In Map Viewer, you can click this button to hide the time slider, regardless of which layer is triggering it.

Of course, you'll have to do that each time you open the map unless you toggle off  Time in the Properties pane for that layer.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! I'd like to have it disappear forever. Nobody wants it. I appreciate the info, though. At least I can tell people how to get it out of the way for a session.

If you don't need time enabled for the layer in this map, select the layer, open the Properties pane, and turn off the Enable time toggle, then save the map.

If you don't need time enabled on this layer EVER, and you own it or are an administrator, then you can do this on the item details page and will apply across all maps.

That's the problem. I don't know which layer it is :-). I think I'll just have to keep hunting for it. Thank you

I have a WMS imagery service with a bunch of historical flights, sometimes I forget that when adding this to Maps it triggers that time slider and I am confused for a while until I figure it out. It would be nice for this feature to include some indication of what layer it applies to.
