Polygon Label Alignment Issue in Web Map

I have a web map on ArcGIS Online (Maryland Counties) where the polygon labels do not center on the polygon. I shared the same map to a Portal for ArcGIS account, and the labels are nicely aligned there. 

I tried editing the label style and adjusting the offset, but it doesn't help much. I also shared the nicely aligned version from Portal for ArcGIS back to ArcGIS Online, and the labels again showed up misaligned on ArcGIS Online. 

Anyone know what is going on and how to fix the alignment issue for the ArcGIS Online web map?

Is the behaviour the same in Map Viewer Classic and Map Viewer?

For the misaligned instance on ArcGIS Online, the misalignment is present but unique for both Map Viewer Classic and Map Viewer (some that are aligned in Map Viewer Classic are misaligned in Map Viewer, and vice versa).

What version of ArcGIS Enterprise do you have deployed?

I believe it is 11.1.
