I'm trying to overwrite one of my hosted feature layers with a layer from ArcGIS Pro, as I've done many times in the past. It gets stuck on "Uploading Service Definition".
Version is 3.0 (I know I should update it, but it was able to do this yesterday. I have to call IT every time I update and it's a whole thing, so I hang on to the versions that work for me)
I have a Standard license and I'm signed in everywhere.
anyone have issues now with a failure to publish layer, overwriting existing layer, and in doing so deletes the layer in your content? Has now happened 2x in the last 24 hrs.
Yes, this happened to me 3/26/24. It was with a manual overwrite from Pro.
Data point: My overnight overwrite scripts still seem to be working.
Has anyone managed to get to the bottom of this? We've had it occuring intermittently for a good few months now. We're overwriting ~20 layers nightly, and often finding it randomly hangs on one of the layers (different ones). We're using a Python script and it's the overwrite function that it fails on specifically. I've seen it happen once in ArcGIS Pro too, but didn't have the diagnostic monitor open for it.
I was thinking we were alone with it, so likely an internal network issue, so was putting off logging a report, but it sounds like it's something on Esri's end given others are facing it too.
Just adding myself as another Esri user experiencing these issues with an automated process that was working fine for years, but now hangs on 'Uploading Service Definition'. The layer it gets hung up on doesn't seem to be consistent.
Adding myself, same problem.
