Map Layers Widget/Legend: Only show Headers (for Location Single Symbol style)

Hi all,

Is there a way to only show the Headers in my Map Layers widget? I noticed that some of my layers were published from Pro with both headers and legend labels. Without republishing the data, is there a way to edit how this appears in the Map Layers widget (for an EB I'm working on)?

I'd prefer for the information to not be repeated in the Map Layers, but if it must be there I'd like to be able to edit layers that don't have it (like Runway in the image below - which does not have the second label).
