Map alignment lost when switching from Classic Map Viewer to New Map Viewer

I have a map with three KML layers (all with the same web mercator projection). The coordinates lay correctly on the map in the Classic AGOL map, but then when I open them in the New AGOL map, the coordinates are off on one of the layers.. The same thing happens when I open it in Experience.

Also, the New AGOL map would give me an error when I tried to add any of the KML files to a map. I could only add them to a map in the Classic version. (maybe this is a clue...or coincidence?)

You can see how the coordinates are off for the Flashiness (blue) layer in the attached screenshot.

What could be making this happen?

Thanks for any insight!

can you share the KML layer file causing the issue?

I am a total ArcGIS newbie, so please explain things like I'm in 6th grade. Thanks! 🙂

Shifting looks to be a known issue in the JSAPI that both Experience builder and MV will present when loading a KMZ file as a KML layer. BUG-000115201

I am looking into why the layer is throwing an error when being added in MV.

Any ideas if there is something can do for this bug? Thanks!

Can you use a WGS84 offering of the basemaps? This fixes the offset issue.
