Labeling Position Options

I'm working on a project where I need to label line features by an identification letter. However, all of the labeling options that I've been presented with in ArcGIS Online have been awful. Only being able to label lines Above, On, or Below the Line isn't cutting it for this purpose. I need the labels to be Horizontal.

I've managed to get something by creating a point layer to serve as the labels, but now the problem is that I can't remove duplicate labels if they're within a set distance like I can in Pro. So, now I have too many labels when I'm zoomed out.

Is there a way that I can force the labels to do what I need? And/Or, does anyone know if there is any intention to add the additional label functionality to ArcGIS Online and/or make it so that it will stick with whatever the labeling settings are when publishing from Pro?

ArcGIS Pro Version: 3.6.1

This is currently not supported in our web rendering in labeling but we are looking at expanding the labeling options. We wont be able to achieve full maplex labeling controls but looking at options that are best for web rendering and dynamic maps.
