Defination Querey and Selection Layer not functioning in MMPK

I'm assisting my colleague in making a Mobile Map Package (MMPK) to use as a basemap in QuickCapture. He used a layer selection from a point feature class to select a subset of species, repeating this several times to create separate layers for about a dozen plant species. When we open this MMPK in Field Maps or QC, the selection is not working, and all points in the entire feature class appear in each layer.

We tried this again, but instead of doing a definition query to select the species. Same outcome, all the points in the entire featureclass show up on the MMPK, not just the ones selected via the definition query.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Hi @JenLangevin

I think this is happening as the MMPK do not preserve layer selection or certain definition queries and so the focuses exporting and packaging the entire dataset.

I would recommend having the subset or filtered data you need as its own dataset and try this again with the MMPK and possible repeat for all scenarios the data is needed for.
