Items owned by a Public Account must be shared to everyone before sharing to a group.

So, I'm trying to share data from my account into one of my groups and I get the message "Items owned by a Public Account must be shared to everyone before sharing to a group."

The group is private and my account is private.  Any ideas why I could be getting this message?

Hi Brian,

When did you create your public ArcGIS Online account? Before March 2013?

FYI, in the March 2013 update, public account sharing workflows changed:

"New sharing workflows for public accounts
Public accounts, previously known as personal accounts, can no longer create private groups, join private or organizational groups, or share items to groups unless the items are shared with everybody (public). Existing private items in public groups will remain private; ArcGIS Online will not turn existing private items or groups public."
