Item Summary not appearing in grid layout

I'm redesigning our ArcGIS Online account. For one of my groups on the home page everything is fine.
But for the other group, the item summaries don't appear
I checked the setting for the content block and the "Show Summary" button is a descriptor for the block.
Then I went and checked the group and in the list view the descriptions are there.
But in the grid view, they are not.
Did I "flip a switch" I don't remember flipping, or is something rotten in Denmark?
