Hyperlinking Script to GIS Online

I currently have a hyperlink scrip to connect my GIS files to an excel spreadsheet. Is there a way to enable that hyperlink in GIS online? The hyperlink works perfectly in the desktop version but when I upload it to create a web app, the hyperlink is gone.

Are the hyperlinks to a local file location or through http or https? UNC links are not supported in ArcGIS Online but web protocols are: Supported HTML—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS
