How to connect to ODATA source in Map Viewer

Hello -

I was wondering if there is any documentation for how to add a web layer from an ODATA source to ArcGIS Online? If the ODATA source requires authentication (username + password), is there a way to do this? I only see the option to add the URL for the API.

Do you need the ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension in order to connect to a ODATA source? Or does this need to be done in JavaScript?

While I could not find the way to connect and extract oData web services within ArcGIS environment.

Now, I have set up an FME ETL process to do the same.

Odata should  be in supported data formats and

the new option: joined hosted feature layer views in arcgis online
