How to clear cache on iPhone ArcGIS app?

I have a web map where i deleted a few layers, then republished the service and recreated the tiles.
on a few mobile devices the deleted layer still shows up in the map.
Is there a way to force the mobile devices to forget these layers (clear the cache)?

If you switch to a new map and go back to the old one that will reload the map to the current saved state.

Thanks Russ,
It does not get rid of the old layers however when i switch back and forth between webmaps.
I should mention too that the deleted layer doesn't show up on other devices - only one, the iPhone.
