I have been creating TPK's of sub-meter satellite imagery for offline use, but have discovered a new workaround to avoid creating very large files that need to be added to each tablet individually.
I download the 8-band worldview imagery from EarthExplorer, clip the raster to my AOI+buffer, switch bands (5,4,1 as RGB), change contrast/gamma, and export the raster to "bake in" the enhancements to the exported raster by checking the "Force RGB" + "Use Renderer" options. I intend to share this exported, enhanced raster as a web layer, which will be added to a map created through AGOL. This map will be made available to all group member who require the imagery in the field.
The problems I run into are:
1) When I export the raster, all the pixels of any shadow in the image are removed and the raster looks like it was hit with bird shot.
2) When I upload this flawed tif raster to AGOL, in the map viewer, I can only add the hosted tile layer as a basemap and not as a feature layer.
Any help or guidance would be extremely appreciated.
