Good afternoon,
The export function for hosted feature layers is not working, it stays stuck in this window. If I cancel, it creates an empty shapefile. I've let it sit for minutes with no luck.
Hey @fjramos
Does this layer have a lot of information on it? Or just a small amount/none? I've had Shapefiles of a large size take upwards of an hour to two. Anyone else in your organization having the same issue?
Cody
It has moderate information which usually would take a minute or so, but I have also tried troubleshooting with other layers with very minimal points & information and it still won't export. I also confirmed with another user in my organization, theirs also stays stuck in the same window.
Do you possibly have the setting 'Editors can only see their own features'? Export may then be limited to admins or data owners (have found this temperamental even so).
Hi David,
No, nothing has changed. I was able to export one minute, the next the export stays stuck and wont complete. I just tried this morning and it's the same issue
Disregard. After a few more attempts, seems like its working again now. Weird.
I can reproduce it also. All my hosted services, with little data stored cant export correctly. The job assigned to the export request handling keep stuck with the status in "processing".
It would be interesting to see what the web traffic looks like when this is working and comparing it when it is not working. (The response and payload subtabs are usually more useful for troubleshooting this)
It would also be good to test this with a new layer with some sample data to see if we get the same issue. There might be something wrong with the data, or perhaps wider intermittent issues with exporting.
Thank you David for taking the time into looking at this post. It's very odd as this issue "comes and goes", like you mentioned maybe due to web traffic affecting certain functions. Right after I replied to Juan, the export function started working flawlessly again 😅. I'll start taking notes of days & times when this occurs and see if there's a pattern. Have a great day!
