Enable hyperlinks or HTML Popups?

A feature layer in my web services has urls for documents stored on the server. The links work fine in ArcMap, either as a hyperlink or a HTML Popup. But when I view the service in ArcGIS Online, there is no link enabled. Looking at the Layer in the Services Directory it has: HTML Popup Type: esriServerHTMLPopupTypeAsURL.

Is there something else that I have to do or can't I have hyperlinks or HTLM Popups in ArcGIS Online?

I am using ArcGIS Desktop 10, ArcGIS Server 10 and ArcSDE 9.3.1.

HTML pop-ups and hyperlinks are coming soon. Currently they are not supported within the ArcGIS.com map viewer but we plan to make them available in the next few months.

Mellissa,

Glad you were able to solve your issue. The solution you found is for when you are creating your own web mapping application with ArcGIS Server Manager.

For those that want to enable pop-ups in their web maps in ArcGIS.com, it's now available. Right-click a layer to reveal a context menu and enable pop-ups. If you don't see this option, you're not yet accessing the actual layer inside the service. Click on the layer to expand it and reveal its sub-layers.

Thanks,

Mike
