Regardless of editing within a webmap, or the Web Appbuilder Edit widget or Smart Editor widget (within the feature template area), domain values are displaying the code as opposed to the description. The domain value also shows as the code within the attribute table of the webmap.
The domain value shows properly as the description within the webmap's (and app's) pop-up.
The data has been published as a feature service from a 10.5 ArcGIS Server.
Does anyone know if this has been registered as a bug? Or furthermore, if there is a known workaround?
John,
I am guessing that this is intended behavior, unfortunately. Though, I am curious to know if there is a workaround as well.
Yeah... I can see how it may be intended. Thankfully, the field in question is a string field, so we will most likely just end up making a new domain and typing out the complete description as the code. I appreciate the comment 🙂
I had this problem too and managed to fix it by removing SubTypes. So I combined the three domains I had been using into a single domain and symbolised on that in ArcGIS Pro. When shared to Feature Layer in AGOL and added to a web map and app I saw domain the descriptions that I wanted instead of codes.
