Editable Layer on map not allowed in application

Hi,
I am still learning my way through the ArcGIS online services.  I have made up a map with editable layers and try to access the map via an application.  But the application failed to recognize the editable layers.  Is this because I have a public account not an organisational account? I just want fool around with a few applications to show people their potential uses at this stage.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hey Larry,

you could sign up for the free 30day trial organization account. Then you can upload a feature service which you can enable for editing. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgisonline/#/Publishing_a_hosted_feature_service_using_an_ArcM...

All you have to do then is download the ArcGIS App or ArcGIS collector app and you can edit those layers on your mobile device. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/communities/smartphone-apps/

I used this to show my organization the capabilities.
