A recent update of the UK government data platform (environment.data.gov.uk) has changed all of the WMS/WFS URLs that we had previously saved as items and shared with our #opendata groups. This means that all of these layers have broken. There are dozens of maps, apps and story maps that are pointing to these layers, so we would like to be able to simply update the wms data source link in the item settings. However, this appears to be greyed out and cannot be edited. Is it possible to change the WMS/WFS links for layers that have been saved as items in ArcGIS Online‌?

This was resolved via a support case. You can update WMS/WFS service URLs using ArcGIS Online assistant, https://ago-assistant.esri.com/.

Sign in to ago assistant‌, then click 'I want to' > Update the URL's of registered apps and services. Navigate to a particular web service, and update the URL accordingly. This should also preserve symbology, transparency and the view extents.
