Best way to handle ability to zoom webmap in to scale beyond that of original map

I'm working on some edits to a zoning layer and I'm wondering what the best practices are for digitizing polygons from a hand-drawn map that will then be visible on a webmap that allows users to zoom in to a very large scale.

Is it best to configure the layer visibility such that the zoning boundaries are invisible in beyond a certain scale? I'm thinking yes because, although a user can zoom in, we can't actually know if the zone boundary was intended to be aligned with the taxlot boundary or not because it was hand-drawn on a poster-sized wall map depicting a large area (no metes and bounds for the zoning boundaries).

This issue must come up a lot but I don't have a good rule of thumb to share with my colleagues. Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi @AmyHut

Yes, its a good practice not to show boundary lines at certain scales to avoid giving a false impression of accuracy. The visibility range slider will allow you to do that.
