Is it possible to use a tool like 'Erase' in ArcGIS Online to remove an area where one polygon overlaps another? If so, how can I do that using the Geospatial ToolBox or any available method?

I accidentally subscribed to ArcGIS Online, but what I actually need is ArcMap. What should I do to switch or correct this purchase?

Hi @MohmdRauf , you can use Overlay Layers Analysis tool in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer and specify the Erase Overlay setting while running the tool.

Let me know if this helps!

To discuss more about the purchased subscription, you could reach out to a Customer Service Representative or a Technical Account Manager for your Organization.

Does that require a specific license level? I was told that to use the erase tool in Pro that I need the Professional Plus license. (I tried clicking on the link, but it went to a page that couldn't be reached.)

Hi @JenniferBorlick , I've updated the link in my previous comment. Let me know if you face any issues accessing it!

If you are using the Overlay layers analysis tool in ArcGIS Online, it requires a Creator, Professional, or Professional Plus user type (Licensing requirements: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/analyze/overlay-layers-mv.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_6BFA19468992455C...)

If you would like to use the Erase analysis tool in ArcGIS Pro, it requires an Advanced license. (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/analysis/erase.htm). And yes, the Professional Plus user type comes with an ArcGIS Pro Advanced license.

Feel free to drop any questions you may have!

Perfect! Thanks! (And the link works now.)

I use the erase tool a LOT. It's one of my favorites. It's weird to me that it is still in the Professional Plus user/Advanced license. Especially when you only need the equivalent of the Basic license to do it ArcGIS Online...
