ArcGIS online to web pages

Technical question:  When I setup a web page for organization and move the information from ArcGIS online to the web page my unique values brings in an ???others??? icon. It does not happen with my single icons.  How do I prevent or delete the ???others??? icon from my web page?  I have talked with the web designers and he explained it is not something he can change on his side.  He also, said it may be an Esri default.  Please let me know if you need more information. Thank you.

Yes, I need more information on what specifically you are doing.

There is a case where the legend will display an "other" category and if my memory serves me, you can't remove that. However, can you share the web map in question? Are you creating a web application from it? Can you share the web app URL too?

Yes, I am creating a web application but on our own web page.  I am using a test map now trying to solve the problem, however it is not showing the same "others" icons when I publish the map from arcgis.  I originally downloaded storytelling_tabbed (3 map comparison) and the web designer added my maps to it but the "others" icon shows up in the legend for only the features that I choice unique values for.
