Hi,

I have a feature service which contains multiple domain fields - one of which is rather large and is being added to frequently. What would be great is if you could sort the domain list using a pre-set structure e.g. alphabetically, number order. Currently i'm having to drag new entries into the domain list from the very bottom to wherever they sit alphabetically...this also relies on me putting it in the correct location!

Pretty sure this isn't possible but please let me know if i've missed it as it would save a lot of dragging.

Thanks,

James

Bafflingly, ESRI has rudimentary support at best for any kind of sorting within Domains, even inside Pro.  There, you can sort alphabetically, but in my experience it's slightly buggy inside a given session.  Also, when you edit a value, it always drops to the bottom of the list.

In AGOL, you don't even get that much—though you at least technically get the "drag-to-sort-manually", there, I think.  There's no feature parity between the two environments.

It's 2025.  Absolutely seconded that both a "drag-to-sort-manually" and a "sort this whole list alphabetically" options really should've been a Day 1 design goal for both environments.

(Relatedly, see https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/re-order-a-domain/idi-p/931575 for an Idea about sorting options in ArcMap/Pro.  The original idea was ArcMap, but the comments indicate the need is still there in Pro)
