Idea similar to More blocks than 15 and more than 16 items per blo... - Esri Community

Summary:
We are just starting out using ArcGIS Online (AGOL) as our new corporate GIS platform. We have figured out that we can create content blocks (linked to groups) to create a focused home page experience for staff within the organisation.

Unfortunately, whilst configuring the AGOL home page, we have discovered that the home page editor has a limit of 15 content blocks. This is a challenge for us because we've set up approximately 30 groups for different teams across the organisation. Whilst we could explore consolidating some groups, it is unlikely that we can reduce the number by half without losing the tailored workspaces we are aiming to provide and complicating the sharing of content.

Therefore, it would be extremely helpful if there were an option to either completely remove or significantly increase the content block limit.

More details have been provided below following advice from Esri UK:

Overall goal of the workflow?
The main aim of the workflow is to create tailored home pages for users, so that they only content related to the groups they are in. As lots of staff are non-technical users of GIS, enabling them to launch applications and map directly from their home page, offers easy, single-click navigation.

Who is being affected by the lack of the requested feature?
As mentioned above, the lack of this feature will mostly affect staff that are non-technical users of Esri AGOL. Currently, we have had to select departments that we believe would benefit most from having a simple, easy-to-navigate and focused home page on AGOL. However, this means that users across the organisation will get inconsistent experiences of the platform and multiple versions of help documentation will need to be provided when onboarding staff.

What is the cost of not having the requested feature?
Without the content block limit, users will be able to launch applications and maps from the home page with a single click. Should the content block limit remain unchanged, some users will have to navigate to ‘Gallery’, ‘Groups’ or ‘Content’, apply filters to search the content and then launch the map or app. In total, this required an additional four to five clicks. The longer workflow also assumes that users will know how to navigate the platform confidently, and where they do not, more in-depth user training will need to be delivered.

What is the scale of the issue?
Currently, we have created 30 groups for various departments or project groups, so staff in half the groups will have to follow the longer workflow to launch maps and apps compared to other users who can launch them by a single click from the home page.
