Will reference an older idea here and a community question here related to this topic, but starting a new idea since they're over 5 years old.

It would be extremely beneficial to make it possible to update the Data Source URL for feature layers in ArcGIS Online (and Portal) that use stored credentials. It's very useful to be able to do with feature layers that don't use stored credentials, especially when migrating to a new ArcGIS Server, which I have to think is a very common workflow for GIS pros.

I did submit a support ticket, and they let me know the options either involve upgrading an existing server (which honestly kinda defeats the purpose) or manually creating a new feature layer and updating your web maps that use them (so 2010 technology).

Would this be useful to other GIS pros to be able to do? And what's the roadmap look like for implementing it?

Was just trying to do this with ArcGIS Assistant and was bummed that it's still not possible. This idea would be very helpful for my organization. It will be such a hassle to make new layers and update all the webmaps and apps.
