I sometimes want to offer the end user an easy way to enter information, but still control the format of the data before it is written to a feature service. I currently have to have a dummy field in my feature service to receive the users input before I can then process it via an arcade calculation into the actual data field.
Eg. Allowing the user to type "2001" into a text field, but have the data stored appropriately in a Date field.
It would be great if we could build Smart Forms with the option of temp fields. An appropriate UI is currently there in field maps designer, but it actually adds any fields you use to the feature service.
