Hello!

It would be nice to copy a popup template from one layer to another in ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS. I have over 20 layers in a map that all have the same fields but display different points. It would be nice to have a dropdown or something that gives you the choice to take the popup template from another layer (with same fields) and apply it to the next one. It would be nice to also include any media (pictures, charts, etc...) in this transfer.

Thanks,

Chris

Yes. It is important because those of us with server 10.2 < with hundreds of popups know if we publish the popups are deleted. And it snaps to the top each time. This could enable us to back up a lot of popup work, in case something goes wrong, publishing shreds them, etc. AGOL needs this, and to enable ALL popups in one click for a service, or for a group of layers, too.

Even just being able to do this in ArcGIS  would be amazing. We're making election results maps, and each one has popups, all with the same template. Currently we have to do each map's popup separately, which takes a long time.

I agree, this would be a really helpful addition.  I have 22 layers in my Web Map that all have the same data and need to have the same popup, but at the moment I have to do it manually (and then I have to manually update all 22 if I need to change the popup).  Having some way to copy the popup from one hosted feature layer to another in a Web Map would save me a huge amount of time.

I have found this Python script, but haven't tried it yet as it was written four years ago: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-blog/copy-pop-up-between-web-map-layers/ba-p/1073105
