changing the editing template for a feature layer in ArcGIS Online is not possible in het current viewer. The workaround is nog switching to the Classic Viewer or using ArcGIS Pro.
Some things unexpectedly break (broke a least) while using the Classic Viewer to change the editing template and then use the current viewer / tools again.
Making the changing of the editing template available in the new viewer, prefererably in the same place as changing the feature visualisation would be the best an logical place.
