Keep getting this error, unsure why. The route is shared with my organization, and it is still not working.
In terms of routes. If you are using the directions tool in ArcGIS Online, those routes don’t translate to ArcGIS Navigator. You would need to use the Plan Routes tool (which can be found in the Analyze tools under Use proximity). You can see more information in the documentation here. One thing I will note for this method, you would need a layer with your points/stops.
The other option since you are using the “point and click” method to create your routes, is to create them in the mobile app itself. You can just point and click on the map to add another stop along your route and create one on the fly. Depending on your workflow, this may be the better option, based on your post.
As for the location sharing licensing, you don’t need to have location sharing in order to use Navigator. However, if you are looking to use location sharing as part of your workflow (with ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS QuickCapture, or ArcGIS Survey123) you would need to purchase licensing for location sharing. The documentation you shared shows how to turn it on for your organization, but you would need the licenses in order to make it work. If this is something you are interested in, I would recommend reaching out to your Esri Account Team.
I hope this helps and if you have any additional questions, please let me know.
