Hi everyone,
I just wanted to check if there's a way around the crashes experienced with ArcGIS Navigator? I thought there is something wrong with my map packages but I am realizing that the maps and app work just fine on other smartphones like Samsung and iPhone. And no, there are no issues with phone storage nor network coverage on the phone, a Xiaomi Redmi every other app like Collector works just fine.
Hi there,
I realize this is an old post - but thought to mention that we are soon releasing an update to Navigator. It's possible that this may resolve this issue for you. If you are still experiencing crashes with this phone (i hope not!), it would be great if you can try the beta version of this release by joining our Early Adopter Community. and let us know how it goes in the Early Adopter forum.
Thanks,
Heather
Has this update to Navigator been released? We have a user who reports that Navigator regularly crashes on their phone.
Model: Google Pixel 3A
OS: Android Version 12
The latest release of Navigator was version 24.1.0 which came out last year. Can you confirm that the user has that version? I have tested with a Pixel 3 on Android 12 and have not run into a crash, but it could depend on the mmpk used and the workflow. When the user says they regularly see Navigator crashing, do you know if there are specific steps that cause it to crash? Are there other users with the same mmpk that are not experiencing a crash?
Hi Chris, thanks for your response - I must have missed the notification for it! We are still struggling with this issue. They have re-downloaded the app several times from the app store so I'm sure it's recent. The mmpk we use is the Canada British Columbia map published by esri_nav.
I haven't used the app nearly as much as the staff using this other phone, but on my Pixel 7 on Android 13, I've never had it crash or stall out.
