I'm setting up an ArcGIS Monitor 2023 on an ArcGIS Enterprise installation in HA.
all components have been successfully registered except Portal for ArcGIS.
when I register, the Monitor only warns me of a problem without specifying anything else.
I also opened a Browser with the user running the ArcGIS Monitor service to check if it successfully reached the Portal correctly.
I tried to register both through WebAdaptor and through port 7443 but without success.
i managed to catch the error via the Browser with specified token error.

Thank you for taking the time to report this. This error is a known issue and a fix will be included in an upcoming ArcGIS Monitor patch.

The ArcGIS Monitor 2023.1 minor release (which will contain the bug fix) is scheduled for release at the end of April/early May timeframe.

Will that Patch be available via My Esri? I notice that Monitor doesn't have the usual patch/update application included with it.

ArcGIS Monitor 2023.1 contains the fix, see the release notes. We won't be releasing specific patches, just software releases. FYI - ArcGIS Monitor 2023.1 release blog.
You can upgrade to ArcGIS Monitor 2023.1 in place.
