Hi Living Atlas Team,
Our team has recently noticed that this new layer USA Flood Hazard Areas layer is missing some geographic areas when compared to the FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer. Is this due to the frequency of updates?
Example of some areas where data is missing.
FEMA NFHL layer - The blue areas are mapped and have flood data.
ESRI USA Flood Hazard Areas layer. All of Clark County NV is missing and parts of southern Utah.
Thanks for looking into this.
Edward
Hi Edward,
You are correct - it is a frequency issue. We update these maps twice a year. The next one goes out at the end of October and does have Henderson Co, NV for sure.
