Is it possible to use the WebTileLayer example and set MapQuest as the a basemap within a basemap gallery? When you add the MapQuest layer via the addLayer function on the map it works fine, but it does not seem to work if used as a BaseMap.
No, this isn't possible at this time. We're planning to push the web tile layer into the core API in a future release and will likely modify the basemapLayer class to work with WebTileLayers.
