When I try to navigate to the URL for the 2021 USA Population Density (https://demographics5.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA_Demographics_and_Boundaries_2021/MapServer), I get a 403 error saying the administrator has disabled the Services Directory. I don't have this same issue for other Map Services in the Living Atlas. Any idea why this might be happening. Here is the URL for the layer summary page: 2021 USA Population Density - Overview (arcgis.com)
Have you used this Living Atlas service in the past with success? I ask because there are Living Atlas services that I have used, but some of these services have issues like the Attribute table is unavailable, so I'm speculating that there is maintenance of this layer going on by ESRI. to address some sort of issue with the service.
Thanks Mike. I replaced the old version of this service with the latest one I linked in my question, and it does load into my web app just fine. I was trying to access the URL so I could get more details about how to query it. I was able to do that with the previous version, although now I see it has the same error: https://demographics5.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA_Demographics_and_Boundaries_2020/MapServer
This is a premium service. Viewing the service directory might have been disabled, but I am able to access the map service in both ArcGIS Pro as well as ArcGIS Online Map Viewer (logged in, with my organizational account).
You're right, viewing it with the Map Viewer does work. I just wanted more details on how to query the layer and easily test my queries in the HTML interface. This used to work for the previous version of this service, though now I see that the service directory for that has been disabled as well. https://demographics5.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA_Demographics_and_Boundaries_2020/MapServer
