Search Dijit is not replacing the search text with the selected suggestion using a feature layer as the source

For instance, if I partially type the search and then select a suggestion, the full suggestions does not replace the partial text in the search box.

It's a bug:

The bug reference number is BUG-000098517  : In ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.17, the search box for the Direction widget does not pick the complete location name from auto suggestions, when a feature layer is used as the source.
