Public Information Map Twitter working?

Is anybody else having a problem viewing tweets on the Public Information Map template?

I have tried a number of queries using different key words, dates and locations. The icon keeps spinning next to the search button, but no twitter icons appear on the map.

Jeff_Archers comment on the application info page (link above) suggests changing the keywords and page count for Twitter in config.js. I've tried that and the map still does not display any geolocated tweets. I've also made sure to download the latest version of the application so I have the most recent twitter.js.

The US Weather and Twitter Map displays a number of twitter icons when I query the same hashtags.

Thanks for your reply!  Can you let me know where I might find out how to export the base layer?
