Been away from Javascript api for a long time. Things have really changed and I cannot find my way around anymore. I need a sample of code that shows how to display the map coordinates when moving the cursor over a map. Any ideas?
BTW, this new forum feels like Facebook more than a forum. Not sure I like it.
Here's a good place to start when trying to get back into the JavaScript API
I think that is where the sample Rickey mentions came from, but couldn't find it right off.
I would suggest looking at the Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition) | ArcGIS for Developers And if looking there, check out my resource list for it Web AppBuilder Developer Edition – Customization Resource List to find help geting started and installed, many samples, custom widgets, etc. One thing to note, it requires a ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS access to get started.
re: GeoNet. I was reluctant at first for the same reason (i.e. social media look) but it it a very good and very active platform. You can customize it to get as much or little info sent to you as you want. Worth giving it a chance. My opinion.
