Lots of Errors If User Spams TimeSlider

I'm having a problem using a timeslider with some featurelayers. If the user 'spams' the time slider button (eg. pushes it before the graphics from last change in time extent are able to be drawn) I get a ton of errors coming back in my firebug console. (See screenshot for details). Is this normal? Have other people experienced this? Is there anything I can do? I was thinking maybe if there was a beforeTimeExtentChange and afterTimeExtentChanged event I could use those to hide the visibility of the layers, but I'd like to get some outside opinions before I go creating new events. Doesn't seem to be a problem in firefox and chrome but I'm worried about the lowly internet explorer users.

If anyone has any advice I would greatly appericiate it!
