Create HTML node image from vector tile style

I'm creating a custom table of contents widget for Web Appbuilder in JavaScript API 3.x.  Is there a way to create an HTML node from the style of a vector tile layer?

For feature layers, I followed this solution.  Is there something like this for vector tile layers?  Or maybe there's another way to go about this with the same result.
