Attachment Viewer zooms to full extent when layer selection changes

Greetings! Does anyone know how to make the Attachment Viewer maintain the current view extent when switching to a different attachment layer?

We have an Attacment Viewer app that includes multiple layers with attachments. Our users tend to zoom into their project area and then switch to the layer they need to see. Doing that triggers the map to zoom out to the full extent of the newly selected layer.

I'm not sure if there is a setting somewhere that will disable that behavior... if not, I'll submit it as an idea because it's annoying and time-consuming to have to locate a project site (not always easy since many don't have addresses) every time a new attachment layer is selected.

Wondering the same thing...Let me know if you ever find a solution.  Seems there should be a setting or at least a default to the map extent saved in the feature layer used in the app.
