Hello everyone, sometimes when I am using the Pixel editor tool, specifically using region editing, the changes are not saved. On the other hand, sometimes the display becomes very slow.

Do you know how I can solve this problem?

Are you using Save or Save As (to save your edits)?
If you are using Save, what is the file format of the layer you are editing?
If you are using Save As, what is the file format you are trying to export?

Is there are specific edit you are making that is not saving?  Or are all you edits not being saved?

I'm not the OP but am having the same issue. Save brings up the save loading bar but doesn't grey out to show task completion like when editing features. I'm working on a TIFF of a DEM and was able to export the edits as a new TIFF, but even after Saving I get a warning that my edits will be lost if I close Pixel Editor. The only operation I've used is selecting a region (polygon and rectangle) and then using Interpolate from Edges.

I'm currently working in 3.1.2.

Hello bdparrick,

Unfortunately we have not had this issue in-house yet.
Please log an issue with Support, so that we can attend to this problem.
(Or if this data is under 9MB you can post it here with more detailed instructions so I can try it out).

Thanks!
Simon

This happened to me yesterday--in my case, I accidentally opened the same map in a different ArcPro window (when there was already a lock on the raster I was editing). Even after closing it, the pixel editor edits would not save, but they would save as new. For now I am defaulting to this option if I ever get the warning message of unsaved edits after hitting save/close pixel editor/closing the program window.

Sounds like the "locking" of the file was an issue here.
Try the following:
1) Close Pro
2) In a Windows Browser, navigate to the location of the file you were trying to edit.
3) delete all the files named `<filename>_commit.***`
(check the date field to make sure that these files were all created recently.)
4) Reopen the project again.
5) make sure no other files are open (that you are trying to edit)
6) perform your Pixel Editor task again.

Hopefully that works.  It did for me.
