Web Map not displaying in Site

I am creating a site within our Enterprise Portal. I am trying to add a web map to the site from the layout options. When I view the site the web map does not display. All I get is a gray box where the map should be. The map is shared to our organization and it works when previewed.

what version of enterprise are you running? what patch set are you on?
