Hi,
At the ESRI UC 2017, at a workshop on Open Data, Courtney Claessens mentioned that there is an 'Open Data Policy' template available. Does anybody know where to find that resource?
Great workshops by the way--I'm very excited to get our City moving into Open Data--

Hi Zak,
Apologies for just seeing this now. The policy wizard I mentioned in the session is found here: Open Data Policy Wizard, and this page has tons of resources to reference: Public Policy for Public Data - An Actionable Guide to Crafting and Enacting Open Data Policy

Hi Zak. I think the website you're thinking of is the Creative Commons website https://creativecommons.org/choose/ Good luck with Open Data!
Thanks for the reply, Sergio, but what I'm looking for is not the license, but a boilerplate template for an open data policy that the City could adopt. We would no doubt alter the wording and make it our own, but a draft document to start with would be a big help.
I found this template on the web:
https://opencouncildata.org/template-policy/
I found the link on the Open Council Data site about halfway down the page under the heading 'Benefits of a Policy':
https://opencouncildata.org/what-is-open-data/policies/
It's a good starting point in case anyone else is looking for this.
