Map widget option missing in Open Data portal

In the Design Layout tab of the ArcGIS Open Data portal, I can use the wizard to add a widget to the Body Content section, but cannot select the map widget option from the dropdown Content Type. The options available are 'Text', 'Image', 'RSS Feed' and 'Data Listing' (see screenshot below). The workaround is to switch from 'Wizard' to 'Code'. Any suggestions?

Hi Simon,

We deprecated the dataset map widget from the layout editor a little ways back - it had some issues. Were you using it successfully before?

I was, it was never a problem. I have now reverted to using the coding method.
