I am working with galleries on the hub. I am specifying the items and order with the Manual option. That works, but when I later return to that dialog box to modify the order, the dialog box does not reflect the current order which I had chosen. If I want to make one change, I need to redo the whole order.
To recreate this problem, create a gallery, choose items with Manual, change the order. Save, navigate away, then come back. Reopen the gallery settings. The order in the dialog will not reflect the order on the page. This is not a problem in less you want to make a change to the order on the page. In that case, you need to start from scratch in the dialog.
