I understand map image layers can fall into the "datasets" item family or the "maps" item family (as a map service). If I wanted to share a single web layer and have it show up as a dataset item type instead of a map item type, what is the best practice for doing so?
My current process is to add all the layers I want to add to my content library into a ArcGIS Pro project map, then right-click a layer and share as web layer (map image service). When I go to add the content to the group that holds the content library items, the shared web layer shows up as a map service and falls under the "apps and maps" category when really I want it to show up under the datasets category.
