I am working on a public facing hub site where they share a handful of data sources, one of which is a public view of a hosted feature layer. The hosted feature layer has attachments enabled and the view shows the attachments. However, when you download the data from the hosted view from the Hub catalog page (using the File GDB as the download type) attachments are not included.

Hi @mhaley_stone_env thank you for bringing this behavior to our attention! We have confirmed that this is expected behavior as of right now, but an enhancement has been logged for attachments to be included with datasets downloaded directly from Hub sites. I have also submitted documentation feedback to have this limitation outlined more clearly in our Hub downloads documentation.

This is the dataset they share: https://www.vtculverts.org/maps/vt-culverts-public-data-culverts-and-bridges/about

If you go to either of the two layers you then get brought to the standard hub dataset details screen. If you go to download and select File Geodatabase, attachments aren't included. I'd love to find the documentation where this is clarified!

It says right on the page you linked that if you want a copy of the data with attachments, that you need to contact them.

With that being said, the source data is just a REST service, so you can always just add it to ArcGIS Pro and then use the Export Table tool to export the data with attachments into a FGDB.

Correct, that is the current workflow! The question is does Hub itself allow for the download of attachments in the allowable output types and where is that documented for Users/GIS Profs designing Hub sites.

Appreciate the comment!

Oh, gotcha. I was just providing a potential workaround since I thought you weren't able to export the attachments at all. I'm not sure if attachments are supported through Hub or not. I can't find anything in Esri's documentation about that either.

@AndrewTurner Could you provide any details on this question or link a Hub developer? Thanks!
