The Hub (and experience builder) need the ability for an admin user to save configurations of widgets for use across the Hub site or organisation. This would allow for quicker development and a consistent look and feel across the site, especially when page templates do not meet requirements for reuse of single components.
Using a pre-configured widget would also let our communications team create draft pages with the right styles.
Some examples of when this would be used
Our organisation uses Hub extensively with over 70 pages in some hub sites, including our external website. We try to maintain consistency and also rely on html and css configuration for cross page linking, text alignment, image cards and banners. We have a repository of components in Confluence to aid in this but mistakes are still made when copy and pasting configurations.
