Remove space below search box in edit view

In the Hub edit window, in a search element, extra space is shown below the search box. Fortunately, this space is removed upon publishing, but it would be helpful to have this reflected in the edit window because
- page designers need to see how the elements actually fit together
- a person can waste time trying to remove space that isn't there
