The new UI for Hub sites is missing the ability to add Open Data groups external to my organization. We use a Hub site to serve as a hub of hubs for the Departments under our Agency. I can manage content from other orgs, but not groups. I really like the new UI, but it's not possible for me to use it with the missing group management capabilities.
In case this saves anyone else the trouble. I had contacted Esri asking about this missing functionality, which is critical to some of our work - we need some mechanism to add Open Data groups to catalogs, and it's missing in workspaces.

I called Esri about this, and after researching it, they found that there is an existing enhancement request ENH-000178091 (which linked me here), so maybe the Idea author submitted it. But it's still in review more than two months after submission, so no action yet. I'm glad to see the article, but I would love if Esri could commit that there *will* be a way to handle this, even if how isn't disclosed yet.
