When exporting datasets exceeding 1,048,576 records, the Excel files generated by Esri become incompatible with Microsoft Excel.
Additionally, if the "Allow others to export to different formats" option is disabled, file generation may take over an hour, frequently fail, or result in record discrepancies between the downloaded file and the web portal.
To address these issues, this feature acts as a workaround, ensuring accurate record counts while preventing users from downloading invalid Excel files.
This functionality is already available for hosted feature layers. Please enable it for hosted tables as well.
